Publication Ethics and Malpractice

The journal broadly follows recomendations on publication Ethics policies for Medical journals by the WAME Publication Ethics committee

All the authors are requested to kindly check the originality of their articles before submitting it to IJARS.

Journal strictly discourage/condemn the publication misconduct this include the following but not limited to this list

  • Duplicate submissionof the article
  • Fabrication and falsification of data
  • Plagiarism, Improprieties of authorship
  • Misappropriation of the ideas of others
  • Violation of generally accepted research practices
  • Material failure to comply with legislative and regulatory affecting research
  • Innappropriate behaviour in relation to misconduct
Responses to possible misconduct

At ANY STAGE of processing of your article, following actions will be taken :

  • Rejectionof the article
  • Non-refund of processing, publication or any other fee
  • Responses will be undertaken, chosen in accordance with the apparent magnitude of the misconduct
  • All allegations of misconduct will be referred to the Editor-In-Chief, who will review the circumstances in consultation with the executive editors
  • If the conduct is found to be grossly unacceptable i.e. submission of duplicate articles, the author will be blacklisted in IJARS and its sister journals
    • Letter of conduct will be posted to the Head/Director of the department from where the study was conducted.
    • List of blacklisted authors will be shared amongst the Chief Editors of other Indian Journals

We have been screening articles for plagiarism, however only rejecting if found unclean. This more stern action is being taken because of the unscrupulous behavior of handful of authors, who have been involved in ethical misconduct. The Screening and taking decision on such articles cost's huge time and resource of the journal. It directly delays the process of genuine articles.

Hope you will help us to maintain the reputation of IJARS.
